My name is Ilya Lobyr, and I have been creating websites for over 10 years. Initially, I started with my own regional portal, which I built from scratch, and now I focus on websites and landing pages using WordPress.

When developing WordPress sites, I always use WordPress Custom Post Types and plugins like ACF, AIO SEO, Solid Security, WP Fastest Cache, and WP Mail SMTP. This is the minimum set to ensure the site is well-protected against hacking and receives basic SEO optimization.

The second most crucial step in SEO optimization is the site’s loading speed. Recently, I’ve been paying a lot of attention to this and have achieved what I believe are near-perfect results.

I believe that to achieve maximum scores in PageSpeed Insights, which directly influence your site’s SEO, it’s necessary to develop the front-end using pure HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Additionally, creating all content on a WordPress site should be done using the classic editor.

Experience

For the past few years, I have exclusively worked on WordPress websites. During this time, I’ve migrated several large portals from Drupal to WordPress while fully preserving the content and old URLs. For search engines, this transition went unnoticed, and we didn’t lose a single indexed page in Yandex or Google!

The migration was accompanied by a complete redesign. Our designer created all pages in several size variations: for high- and low-resolution screens, tablets, and phones. My task was to make these templates responsive and cross-browser compatible. The result was excellent: the same page looks optimal on any device and screen.

After the migration, the process of expanding WordPress’s capabilities began. I created several useful plugins and shortcodes to simplify text highlighting for editors and recommend related materials to readers.

Need an endless news feed? No problem, let’s make it happen! Want reactions after each news post? Why not!

Sometimes, editorial teams have special projects that require their own landing pages. Using WordPress’s template system, I create a separate page on the existing portal, and with the help of the ACF plugin, I build a flexible content settings panel. In one project, I even developed a builder that allows block order to be changed by dragging and dropping on the site.
